What is hyaluronic acid?

Naturally synthesized by the body, hyaluronic acid is a major component of the skin that guarantees its plump and smooth appearance thanks to its ability to attract and retain nearly a thousand times its weight in water.

50% of the hyaluronic acid present in the body is found in the skin, the hydration of the latter being therefore closely linked to the quantity of water captured by the hyaluronic acid molecules!

From the age of 25, and following UV exposure, its content decreases and the skin becomes dehydrated, reducing its elasticity and causing an increase in wrinkles and fine lines.

What types of hyaluronic acid are there?

They come in different sizes, and depending on their location in the different layers of the skin, their actions differ.
