Why do toothpastes contain fluoride?

The global scientific community is unanimous on the benefits of fluoride for oral health. Its incorporation in toothpastes has helped to significantly reduce the prevalence of dental caries worldwide, in particular thanks to fluoride ions which are active ingredients with proven effectiveness. All this in the right proportion, namely 1450 ppm, which is the recommendation of the French Oral and Dental Union.

From what age can you use mint toothpaste?

From the appearance of the first permanent teeth, around 7 years old! And it is then perfectly suited to the needs of adults. Because in life, beyond tastes, you only need 2 toothpastes: 1 for baby teeth containing 1000ppm of fluoride and 1 as soon as the permanent teeth arrive containing 1450ppm of fluoride.
